superdrug beauty haul

Recently superdrug had a 3 for two offer on their website so i thought I'd take advantage of this offer.

From left to right
● makeup revolution "naked chocolate" pallet
● rimmel wake me up concealer in the shade "010 ivory"
● bourjois eyeshadow in the shade "beige rose"
● Nivea "pure and natural cleansing toner"

Firstly i've bought something i haven't tried before which is this gorgeous pallet. I was first attracted by it's packaging as it l8ooks like a bar of white chocolate somi thought it may be a dupe of Too faced's chocolate pallet. Im really impressed the by the colours in this pallet as browns and nudes are my favourite eyeshadow colours to wear. The name of each shade makes it sound even more attractive so I've included a photo of the inside of the pallet and left the clear sheet over they shadows so you can see the names of each shade.

The rimmel concealer I have used before in a slightly darker shade but as I'm very pale i tried the lightest concealer this time and to be honest it isn't much different but i don't mind because i love this concealer anyway.

Bourjois is my favourite drugstore brand for eyeshadow so i am very familiar with this colour as it's my go to shade for nearly every eyeshadow base i do. So i was just restocking this one haha.

And finally, ive been trying different cleansers and micellar waters lately trying to find something affordable and effective to take my makeup of easier and i think ive found the perfect one. At less than two pound for this size bottle it is both purse friendly and also works really well. I tend to use it on makeup wipes that are too dry to help wipe my makeup off in a more gentle manner. I have quite sensitive skin so I'm glad I've found a makeup remover that doesn't irritate my skin.

Hope you've enjoyed this blog as i havent posted in a while but i have started my April favourites blog already for next month :) Millie x

The start of my MAC lipstick collection

This Christmas I got two new lipsticks from Mac, one from my brother and one from 'Santa' (aka mum and dad) & I am in love with them the formula is so smooth and i love the sleek packaging.

I firstly received 'velvet teddy' (the one on the left) which is a matte lipstick and the matte formula makes it so long wearing as I'll put it on in the morning before work and I wont have to re-apply it till later in the evening!

My second lipstick is called 'creme in your coffee' this one is a cremesheen lipstick it glides on a lot easier than the matte lipsticks but I feel like I have to touch it up more often through out the day.

hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year! I'm going to try and blog more this year too x

My long hair routine!

TOP 6 HAIR PRODUCTS!

I often get asked about how I manged to grow my hair so long and how it's still in good condition and the truth is I don't do anything special, it's just about having patience and doing all the boring stuff like trimming it regularly etc: But here are my top 6 hair essentials that I like to use to keep my hair looking healthy and others are just my favourite styling products.

1.First are my dove shampoo and conditioner. I love how clean my hair feels after using them and the conditioner leaves my hair really soft without that sometimes waxy texture you can get by using other conditioners.
2.I use this Schwarzkopf heat protector spray all the time and it's amazing. This is my holy-grail hair product and I think this is what helps to make it look so healthy. After washing and towel drying my hair I spray this on my hair particularly the ends and it smells great as well as preventing too much damage to my hair.
3. next is another schwarkopf products, This beach matt salt spray is great for adding extra texture to my hair, so often before curling my hair i spray my hair all over with this spray then dry it as provides more volume and leaves the curls looking more natural.
4. I don't tend to use dry shampoo that often as I wash it regularly but if I want a particularly big curly hair styles i spray this into my roots and rub it in as it really pumps up the hair.
5. many hairsprays have that horrible choking smell that stick to the back of your throat but I've recently discovered this Pantene one and it smells lovely as well as providing a great hold.
6. and finally, to finish any hair style i do whether it be curly of straight i always spray this Gliss shine tonic on the ends of my hair to leave it extremely soft and stops the ends of my hair feeling dry.

I know this blog has been quite long but I'm still trying to work out what to write about in these blogs and haven't posted one in a while :)

Everyday makeup!

Above are my makeup products that i use on a daily basis. I start by priming my skin with a spot of moisturiser to smooth out my skin, after that has soaked in, i then pump my loreal true match foundation in the shade "golden ivory" onto the back of my hand then apply it with my expert face brush.I love this foundation as it has excellent coverage without feeling cakey on my skin. Then I apply bourjois' "CC eye cream" around my eyes (obviously haha) and the tops of my cheek bones as a highlight. Then i set it all with my rimmel London clear complexion transparent powder to leave my face matte and makes my foundation last all day.  Just realised how hard it is to write about applying makeup lol....anyway....I then cover my eyelids with a natural eyeshadow by bourjois then I can do my favourite parrot, parrot? That's auto correct for you. I meant part which is filling my eyebrows in, using my real techniques eyebrow brush i fill my brows with benefits brow zings using  the lighter shade out of the two in the box. Then i add a dash of colour into the creases of my lids and then i line my top lids with a thick stroke of liquid liner. Because of the thick liner I tend to wear my mascara quite thickly to  make my lashes stand out because sometimes liner can shorten rhe look of your lashes. (I occasionally wear false eyelashes too, when I can be bothered that is). Then add a touch of blush and im almost done. My final step is lips! this autumn I am loving all of the dark pinky/purple shades as I think they look so seasonal - plus I love buying lipsticks. My current favourite is my red Chanel lipstick in the shade "rough coco".
Hope you've enjoyed this little nosey into my make up bag!

Real Techniques brush review!

Brushes from left to right; expert face brush, blush brush, powder brush

Real Techniques brush review

I had been wanting to purchase these brushes for a while after hearing sooo many good things about them, so when I wondered into Superdrug and seen that they were on a '3 for 2' special offer I thought it was the perfect opportunity to take advantage of a bargain and test them out. And I'm happy to say that they didn't disappoint!

After using them for a couple of weeks they have been a real help, the soft bristles of the expert face brush make it easy to buff out liquid foundation on my face and leave a flawless finish, the large, fluffy end of the powder brush provides an even coverage of powder and the blush brush blush are great for a flushed cheeks or leave a subtle contour when using bronzer and they are also perfect for those with sensitive skin (like myself) as they are gentle on skin. They have made their mark on my life where makeup is concerned  and are now a makeup bag essential!
